Last night I dreamed I was working with Donna Karan (the designer) at one of her fashion shows. While I was there, I think I was sitting at a table, and I couldn't find my shoes. They were, for strange some reason, mules, which I never wear. For those of you who don't know what mules are, they are like slippers, but not really slippers, slip on shoes. I woke up thinking that this dream must have some significance in some way. So, of course, I Googled it. There is so much crap about dreams out there and dreams about shoes that now I'm confused and don't know what to think.
The first thing I found was this:
In general, shoes represent your approach to life. It suggests that you are well-grounded or that you are down to earth. It also represents your convictions about your beliefs.
If you dream that you lose your shoes, then it suggests that you may be searching for your identity and finding/exploring who you are.
Hmmm...Unemployed, check. Unmarried, check. Could be.
Then I saw this:
To dream of losing your shoes indicates that you are wasting your efforts in unproductive activity.
OK but what's the unproductive activity here? Unemployment? Blogging?
Oh yeah and I love this one:
To lose your shoes is not a good omen as it foretells that your loved ones shall betray you when you need them most. So do not depend on them.
Been there, done that. No thanks.
And this:
Shoes are interpreted as wife or husband. Shoes may also mean 1- wife or husband 2- g/f 3- power 4- livelihood 5- a travel 6- Death if he was alone in the desert.
Huh??
This:
Losing your shoes indicates a waste of time on your part.
Now we have a theme. Wasting time... soul searching. Hmmm..
Should I believe all this jargon? If dreams are our subconscious working through problems or issues in our conscious, what does all this crap mean?
You guys got any suggestions??

I always wonder about dream analysis. Sometimes I think it can have some validity to it, but honestly? And I'm probably the minority here...
Sometimes a dream about losing your shoes is simply a dream about...losing your shoes.
I'm just sayin'. ;)
Holy Cow...that's a lot of information on shoe dreams. I'd stay positive and believe the first one.

I'm just saying also

I think dream analysis is shit.
Otherwise, I'm probably in a heap of trouble.
To paraphrase Frued... sometimes a shoe is a shoe.
I don't believe in dream analyis for the simple reason that shared symbols would have to be shared by humans without even discussing them first - like their ingrained in us.
I think it means you need to go out and get a new pair of Choos to replace the pair you lost working with Donna! That's my opinion...
I "casually" mention this to "My Guy" about the infidelity thing, like when he's eating soup or something, to see if you can get a good spit take out of him.
It's always good for us to be kept on our toes.
But other that that, I go with shoes are just shoes. I had a dream once a where I ate the world's biggest marshmellow. When I woke up, my pillow was missing.
I think that dreams might mean something... but really, can anyone interpret them but you?
the only thing i can offer is, those shoes in your pic make me all tingly in the pants! hot!
Did you watch The Hills? Because Whitney was at DVF and that could have subconciously crept into your dream and simultaneously wasted some of your time by watching that lame episode.
Screw dream analysis. Seriously, its all a bunch of generalized crap designed to apply to a lot of people at once. I once dreamed that I shot my ex in the face and then threw his body over a cliff. And this was when we were still together and in love.
I wouldn't even begin to think what dream analysists would say about that one!
I wish I could get into shoes. I wear sneakers every day, cause I am CHASING 5 year olds all day.
I don't buy any of that simplistic dream analysis. I think you get more out of dreams if you just ask yourself, "What does this remind me of? Is this feeling familiar?"
everyone in your dream is you, so you're stepping all over yourself, but you can't find yourself...
yea, go find yourself Candy!
I don't know much about what you're dream was about or means. All I'm saying is where the red shoes. You wear those and with the line-up of guys waiting to buy your drinks, you won't care what the h*ll your dream was about. ;)
