Pop Poop

This special edition of Pop Poop has been brought to you today by my utter disdain for what I once considered the best show on television. Let's start there, shall we?

GLee- You suck. I'm sorry, but I'm thinking about breaking up with you. What the helll? Last night's episode sucked so bad maybe I'll make next Tuesday night "Viewer Skip Day." Their were two positives on the night for me overall:

1. The whole Quinn in a wheelchair thing was a powerful message about the dangers of texting and driving.

2. Matt Bomer (who is he?) played Coop, Blaine's famous actor brother. Damn, if there isn't something about that guy. He's sexy and handsome and although he played a narcissistic B-list actor, the entire glee club was mesmerized by him.

Sorry Glee, even the music was sub par last night. You don't even get an entire post dedicated to you until you step up your game.

Dancing With the Stars-Plagued recently by serious medical issues, will they cancel America's guiltiest pleasure because of the physical dangers?

Melissa Gilbert was rushed to the hospital after Monday night's dance where she banged her head during her performance and suffered a mild concussion and whiplash. Maria Menounos suffered two broken ribs and foot injuries during her rehearsals. She reportedly wears two electrodes attached to her feet to stimulate her bones while she dances.

I realized today that even though I do NOT watch this show, I know everything that happens on Dancing With The Stars because I watch Good Morning America every morning. In fact, I know a lot about ABC/Disney because the show shamelessly promotes all of their ABC prime time programming during GMA.

Moe, Larry and Curley-I don't know if some of The Daily Dandy's younger, hipster readers remember the Three Stooges, but I definitely do. My brothers were OBSESSED with them and we spent some wonderful bonding times together laughing and watching the antics of the Howard brothers. They then would beat the crap out of me, using the slap stick techniques they had just learned watching the Stooges. Good times...
The Farrelly Brothers, "The Three Stooges" drops Friday and I'm dying to see this one. Especially since the Farelly's directed it. I expect to be highly entertained.

I heard an interview a while back with Tom Bergeron (yeah, the guy from Dancing with the Stars)He grew up in Boston and when he was in high school he had a radio show that made him somewhat of a local celeb. We watched the Stooges locally on TV-38 and as a fan, he somehow landed a huge interview with Moe Howard, via telephone. Howard was, at the time, in the December of his life and career and living in a resting home. Bergeron claims Howard still had a keen mind and was a wonderful interview. Their exchange gave Bergeron a resume piece that got him noticed, and it made Howard a friend who took a liking to the kid. Bergeron continued his relationship with Howard up until his death, and interviewed him several times.

The Three Stooges is a throwback to a time gone by. They were unique comedians with their own brand of physical comedy who came straight from vaudveille. How many of you remember vaudveille?

Does this mean I'm old????

Dancing Darkhorse

One of my guilty pleasures in this life is watching those dumb-ass Kardashians. I have to admit it, that I just can't help trying to "Keep up" with them. Why? I can't quite explain it, nor can the millions of other idiots, like me, who watch them but I'm riveted.

There's just something about them.

Love them or hate them, they grow on you. I couldn't help but recently feel bad for youngest Kardashian brother Rob.The Kardashian/Jenner clan was on vacation in Bora Bora, and diva princess Kim decided to give Rob a hard time for being a "loser" with no career. She kept making digs about how Rob has no career and that younger sister Kendall makes more money than him, (thems is fighting words) to which Robert responded by calling Kim a whore on national TV. They then had a moving/nauseating scene in the hotel room with Rob and his mom with tears and Rob telling his mom that he needs to start doing something with his life. She cries too and tells him that she will help him.

Flash forward to today, Kris Jenner must have helped him in the best way she could, because he is now on Dancing with the Stars. Not the greatest way for a guy to achieve his dreams, but if you're a Kardashian, it's a $tart.

Now here's the funny thing, I don't watch Dancing with the Stars, but on Tuesday mornings I check YouTube to see how Rob did the night before and on Wednesday mornings I check to see if Rob had been eliminated. I am cheering for him and as ridiculous as this sounds, I want him to win so that he can shove it in his fat-assed, diva queen, princess sister Kim's face. SHE, who got kicked off in week two of her stint on Dancing.

And now people are saying he could pull off a win. Really?

I know it's stupid, and I know that there are people fighting the good fight for great causes and for the greater good all over the world. In the scheme of things this is a great waste of time, but I can't help rooting for this guy.

The chances are slim, but I hope he pulls this off. I hope he gets to shove that disco ball championship trophy right up his sister Kim's media hogging, greedy, selfish, fat ASS.

GO ROB!

Nobody Puts Baby In A Corner

I have a confession to make.

Last week, I told you that I kill a lot of my down time at night watching the idiot box. I have my set schedules and my favorite shows and if that wasn't bad enough, I pretty much never deviate from the norm because I DVR what I missed and watch those shows in the breaks in my rigid TV schedule. Well, last night I found myself on my elliptical machine at 8pm which is highly unusual for me. I try to cram that in the AM so I can make time for couch time, but yesterday was busy. So I decided to watch the #1 show on television, or so it has been said, "Dancing with the Stars", while drowning out the sound with my beloved ipod and my Glee play list.

A former dancer myself, (it was my minor in undergrad) I figured watching the celebs ballroom dance would be fun if I didn't have to listen to the crap they talk about. ABC's Dancing with the Stars has been on for quite some time now. I don't know how many seasons, 9 or 10, but I have NEVER watched an episode. EVER. I have seen a routine here and there, but My Guy is almost always with me on the Killing Time Couch, and I think he'd rather have all of his teeth extracted than watch Dancing with the Stars. I always thought the show was redonk, because I know about what goes on, (ie: who wins, who's banging who, etc) due to my devotion to the weekly rag magazines. I figured that was good enough for me.

I was wrong.

And I'm pissed at myself because NOW I'm hooked. I'm such a sucker for glamour. The one who impressed me the most was Jennifer Grey. Granted, she has an advantage because she studied the art of ballroom dancing for her role in the iconic movie,"Dirty Dancing", but that was hundreds of years and a few noses ago. A full fledged adult, no longer a "Baby", Jennifer looks nothing like the character we rooted for in the movie. It's like she's someone else. Her career killing nose job shot her into obscurity years ago, and now she's back for a stint on "Dancing". I had to now pull out my ear buds and shut off my Gl-iPod, to watch this woman shake it like she once did.

I was so impressed to find out that during a routine check up for the ABC show, it was discovered that Jennifer had spinal cancer. Four surgeries later and a lot of rehab, she was cleared to perform in the cast with restrictions. She cannot do lifts or tricks. Now in complete remission from the deadly disease, she credits "Dancing" with saving her life. Ironic that cancer was what killed her former "Dirty Dancing" co-star, Patrick Swayze. We know Jennifer has one heck of a guardian angel on her shoulder.

Jennifer is paired with last year's champ, Derek Hough, and I couldn't tell you what kind of a dancer he is because, again, I never watched the show before last night. BUT I can tell you that this lady, Jennifer Grey, is HAWT!! Holy smokes, she can move and groove and has got curves and bumps in all the right places. And she's got rhythm. The lady's got it all and she's sexy as hell! I couldn't help but smile as I watched her command the dance floor. And I couldn't take my eyes off her. Who was she dancing with again? Whatever, the point is, this lady is worth a looksie.

If you are a fan of dance. If you are a fan of the show. If you are a fan of Dirty Dancing. And if you are a fan of hot, sexy women, watch as Jennifer Grey captivates you with her own brand of sexy magic like she did so many years ago. I promise she won't disappoint and I predict this lady catapults her career in Hollywood 10-fold if she wins this thing. Just like Patrick said in the movie, "nobody puts Baby in a corner."

Oh yeah, and the other people on the show were good too.
