On Stage

Did you ever hear a song in your car that just spoke to you? Made you burst out in full on sing song like you were on stage? In front of thousands of people? Singing like you've never sang before?  I know you have. We all have. And we have all seen someone at a red light just belting out a song like they are in the middle of Madison Square Garden in front of the adoring crowd.

That's why this is so funny.

You go Ellen! I wish I could do that every morning with a different celebrity in my bathroom.

Lady got some pipes..both of em.

Ellen Incarnate

If I get to choose to come back in another life as someone, I'm thinking I'm coming back as Ellen Degeneres. I watch the Ellen show every morning while I pump out my 30 minutes of cardio and I have to say, it's just about the best part of my day. I laugh, I think, I marvel, but the best part of all is when I get to DANCE.

Ellen is amazing. Poised to step right in for Oprah, when she hangs up her talk show, Christian Louboutin shoes, Ellen was smart to end her American Idol judging gig and focus on taking the TV talk show throne as she is clearly the most logical choice. It has already been announced here in Boston that the Ellen show, which airs at 9am will be moved to Oprah's 4pm prime time time slot when the Oprah show goes black sometime later this year. Now all the mothers at home "putting the chicken in the oven" as Oprah says, won't be too disgruntled by the loss of the Oprah show.

Ellen's job is a dream job, as she gets to talk with celebs, feature new talent, play games, do funny segments, and did I mention she gets to dance? And she's dancing and laughing all the way to the bank. I wonder if she ever wakes up and actually pinches herself, because she is living the dream, just by being herself. I know it wasn't an easy road for her to get here, and she stumbled along the way, but despite it all, she has persevered and she is loved by a lot of people. And she's funny as hell. She's got a soft, kind way about her that endears her to the public. Love her or hate her, you gotta give her kudos. Yup, Ellen today is on my short list of people I'd come back as in another life.

And did I mention, I'd get to dance.

Thank You Sweet Baby Jesus For The Smokin Hot Dennis Quaid Who Is A Stone Cold Fox

I'm sorry.

I knew at about 9:30 yesterday morning that I had to share this with you.

It was so funny that it actually interrupted my workout. Yup, I had to stop running because I was laughing so hard.

Please, watch.

Lets Have A Little Fun Today

I think Ellen Degeneres has the greatest job in the world.

Lately, I have been exercising on the treadmill in the mornings around the same time that The Ellen Degeneres Show is on and I'm hooked. Not only is she hilarious, but the woman gets to dance EVERY DAY.

Ellen hobnobs daily with various celebs, dances with the people in her audience, plays "game show" style games and gives away fabulous prizes. She has this thing called, "Ellen's Twit Crew" where her "crew" travels around to different locations announced via twitter to meet viewers and give away corporate sponsored prizes daily. Last week I watched her give away a brand new, pimped out, GMC Envoy to a young single mom from Brooklyn, NY, who walks her boys to school every day and then herself to work because she can't afford the subway. Ellen even threw in a year long subway card for the entire family.

She opens her show with her special brand of Ellen charm in the monologue. She's so cute and I got a huge girl crush on this funny lady. Sorry Ellen, I don't swing that way but if I did, I'd have your poster hanging on my bedroom wall. She's really a joy to watch. No wonder the theme song's refrain for the show is, "Lets have a little fun today."

By far, my most favorite part of The Ellen Degeneres Show is her daily dance. She gives me a little bounce in my workout and makes you dance right along with her. And I couldn't think of a better way to start the day off.

To think, she gets PAID money to do this every day. Lucky lady.
