Black Friday

So today is Black Friday and as a retailer in this great country we live in I'm hoping today is much like the picture above at The Candy Bar. Odds are that it won't be like that picture above because I'm not offering any give-aways, and by that I mean, I'm not giving away merchandise for redonk deals.

I am, however, offering 25% off B.Kamins Skin care when you buy 3 or more B. Kamins products during the month of November. Gotta give the people something, right? I'm hoping that you will all take advantage of Small Business Saturday which is tomorrow. American Express has offered to give back a $25.00 credit to every card member who shops locally on Saturday. My only problem is that I don't take American Express in my store, but I still appreciate the media spotlight on local, small businesses like mine who help our economy to keep going.

So, if you are out over the weekend, stuffing some stockings instead of your face, think small and local, and come on down to The Candy Bar. We will take good care of you and your needs and if you don't want to go out and brave the crowds, give me a call at the store and I will ship anything you buy free of shipping charges.
Have a happy and safe holiday weekend and Merry holiday shopping to you all.

I WILL be out tomorrow to support some local stores - but not today. Today I am in my pajamas all day and not one other thing!
Hope you get a lot of customers!

Exciting stuff! Now I want candy, but it's 1:30 at night. Thanks.

I love Black Friday, because I let all the idiots of the world get up at 3 am to go out in the cold and risk being steamrolled by other idiots, while I lay on the couch in my PJs with a fuzzy blanket and watch crap TV all day long.

I never have, nor will I ever wait in line at 3 AM for ANYTHING! Not even Scarlett J. wanting to service me in ways I have never dreamed of. Nope, nothing.

Well, here is hoping that you met with tremendous commercial success!

I agree with you on shopping local. I had a big discussion with my mom over Thanksgiving about how bad Walmart is for society. They strip small businesses away from the community.

Being back in NYC, there are a bunch of small businesses here for me to choose from and I have my favorites. There are a few big box stores here, but I steer clear of them. I enjoy talking to the owners and workers in small stores and getting to know them. And if they don't have something you need, more often times than not, they will get it for you.

If your store were near me, I'd buy makeup just to support you (and because I adore a good eye/zit concealor!)

I did do some shopping at a local sporting good store. The same one where I got my high school letter jacket and more Wigwam red & black striped socks than you can imagine.

I did hit some big box retailers to buy some items, but, there really wasn't a local option.

I saw some videos of Black Friday and they all scared the living shit out of me. I hope you had plenty of riot gear, pepper spray and zombie shields…
