It All Started With The Apple

Tell me it isn't so.

Tell me that it's not true because after all I have been through and I SHOULD know better, I still have the hopes and dreams of a woman who is optimistic about love and marriage.

Tell me that it's only a few bad apples that spoil it for the rest of us.

Tell me anything, "because I'm still kinda touched by 'your word is Oak thing'." (obscure Jerry Maguire reference) and your public declaration of love as "having my back".

Tell me to grow the f*ck up because as history proves, it all started with that God dammed apple. There's no two ways around it, because it's always been there and temptation is indeed, the fruit of all evil.

Another one bites the dust.

In this still-breaking story, the public obsession with salacious, celebrity infidelity takes yet another ugly turn. This time, America's newly crowned sweetheart is at the center.

Oh, Christ. Not that it's any of my or anyone else's business, but are we to believe that these new allegations, by some tattooed vixen, for money, fame, or whatever are FALSE? Do we really care? Yes, we do because somewhere inside of us we were all pulling for this mismatched couple to be happy. Sandy certainly looked happy. Sandy certainly sounded happy. Jesse doesn't look so happy (in that photo). It's ugly and only going to get uglier. In public. My heart goes out to her.

Who knows, maybe they had an agreement. Maybe she has some tattooed love slave on the side too. I would never venture to guess what is acceptable for others in a marital relationship, but I can tell you that it's not what I would agree to. Here's the thing, Adam couldn't resist the temptation and allegedly neither could Tiger or Jesse, so maybe a little piece on the side isn't so tragic.

Grow the f-up Candy, and smell the dirt in the garden. Who the hell am I? Joan of Ark? Am I asking too much for monogamy and fairy tales? Damm Cinderella and her happy ending and Snow White too. They can all go straight to hell. It's that friggin apple and it's not like we weren't warned. It's always been there. In the beginning of beginnings. Maya Angelou once said, "When someone reveals himself to you, you better listen." Did Adam not set the bar for the male species?? And right out of the gate too, so there would be no questions. Insurance for his homeys.

The way I see it serpents, vixens, lust, greed and temptation will always be prevalent, it's how one chooses to handle the temptation that speaks volumes about one's character.

And really, who wants to be married to a character?

I just keep thinking about a Gene Hackman line from one of my favorite movies, as he pondered why someone as wonderful as his wife would have ever married him . . .

"The people some people marry . . ."

[Lol . . . ironically, the "verification word" for me to post this comment is "manism" . . . I'm looking that up now]

Magnogomy is not to much to ask. In fact, these are basic requirements of a relationship. Like breathing.

Seriously, not that hard. Well, not that hard if you're NOT an asshole.

It didn't start with the apple, it started with the WOMAN, LOL.

Hey, Heff's happy as a clam being monogamous.

Ok, it DOESN'T hurt that I have a naked chef in the kitchen with the body of a 20 year old stripper....

I understand that relationships go bad and shit happens to people. Sometimes women cheat too. It's not all one side. People are mean to one another. Sometimes, in a relationship, one or the other uses sex as a control mechanism. It happens & people are just people that way.

BUT...

you mean to tell me there are guys out there who had people like, say, Halle Berry and Sandra Bullock in their beds and had their heads (coughcoughcough) turned elsewhere??

What the hell planet are they from? Or am I from? Or what did I miss because, seriously, if Sandra Bullock and her money lived in my house... and furthermore she actually LIKED me!?!!??

I'd be all... "what muck do you want me to sit in dear? You just tell me where to stand. Go get you a sammich at three in the morning...? Mustard or plain?"

I mean... my freakin God...

There's Hollywood and then there's the rest of us. From the words of Oz: "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain." Hollywood types behave like vain, indulgent children and reap all the rewards of such behavior. Don't gauge real life on them. Keep the faith Girl!

When I heard this today I couldn't believe it either. But then I thought 'publicity stunt'. Who knows? But think about it...doesn't it always seem that there's typically a celebrity breakup within a year of one of them winning an Oscar?

Let's see:
Hilary Swank/Chad Lowe
Kate Winslet/Sam Mendes
etc...etc...etc...

I think it would be almost impossible to keep a relationship together in Hollywood.

That being said, I think he seriously out-punted his coverage with Sandra...

Okay, let me start by saying Sandra Bullock is my ultimate fantasy woman. I've had a thing for her for YEARS. So I, more than anyone, am completely aghast that ANYONE lucky enough to have the attentions of Ms. Bullock would then somehow screw that up by fooling around.

But hey! Maybe this means I have a shot now!

You know, there's a "Blind Side" joke in all of this somewhere....

Oh, NO HEFF DIDN'T !!!

You mean the guy who was married to tattooed freak porn star Janine cheated on Sandra Bullock with a tattooed freak stripper/model?

Shocked I tell you, shocked.

It took me forever to find "the one". Not a chance I'm messing that up. Ain't gonna find no one better.

I don’t know Candy. I’ve never cheated and as you know I’m really, really, really ridiculously good looking, charming, witty, sexy, athletic and humble as hell. I’ve never even cheated on a girlfriend in high school.

I thought he acted shady when he was on celebrity apprentice last year.

Leave it be Candace and let them have their privacy same as yoou'd want for your self or any one else close to you. Turn off the damn channel, this ain't news or important information. unless of course you count demoralization as important?

By the by it says fruit not apple. and temptation wasn't the sin but the choice was and not the choice you think. They could have just as easily chosen to eat from the tree of life but they chose the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Bad choice eh?

Be easy in your judgments Candace that them who judge will have the same choice of forgiveness.
