Positive Affirmation

Today is kind of a big day for Frick.

So I just text her, "You is kind. You is smart. You is important."

I want my children to always remember this, and I want to tell them this as much as possible because positive affirmation mixed together with love can convey a powerful message. It's a life strategy that can manifest wonderful things.

My mom always told me that there was nothing I couldn't accomplish if I put my mind to it.
And I believed her.
She told me repeatedly, and she also told me that if I didn't reach for the stars, someone else would.
And I believed her.

It's so simple, really, but it holds so much power.

Stuart Smalley thinks so too.

It's just the most natural thing for me to give my son positive affirmation. I can't fathom the parent who doesn't feel that way.

Very important to let kids know they are important.

I tell my kid he's important every time I force him to scrub and disinfect the bathroom tile grout.

It's amazing to me. As kids we were born fearless. We did not know how to fail. We did not know we could not do it. These are all things we were taught....

Yep...Raising positive kids is critical.
