The Big O
As much as I hate to admit this, I've missed her.
In the end, I really didn't watch her much. Mainly because I have a job, but if I were home and it was 4pm Opie was on my TV. Then there was that extra special interview that I really didn't want to miss, so I would set the DVR and watch it later. There really is no one like her and as invincible as she once was on TV, the move to her OWN network has been the dimming of her once bright superstar.
But don't feel bad for Oprah.
Because just when I thought it was over for her, she goes and does something exciting. Tomorrow Oprah will guest co-host Good Morning America, of which I am a most loyal viewer. GMA is the home of Robin Roberts, who is battling a rare blood disorder and has taken an extended medical leave from her job as co-anchor of GMA to receive a bone marrow transplant. Oprah is one of several stars to fill for Robin at the anchor chair, including Katie Couric, Barbara Walters, Diane Saywer and and Amy Robach.
Yesterday, GMA kicked off it's revolving guest co-host with Jessica Simpson who, sorry, SUCKED. Her silly and stupid act is very unflattering and it just makes me think that its not an act. But Oprah? The Queen of Media was once a TV anchor and I, for one, am excited to follow along with her as she navigates me through my morning.
So yeah, I've missed her.
And I wish her a great broadcast tomorrow, but I don't think she's going to need it. I think she's going to do exactly what she does best and do it well.
Something about Opera just get all the ladies nipplits erect and dew to befall all their lillies. What gives?

Now I'm all ERECT!
ReplyDeleteIt would appear at first as if Oprah is helping out the girl with cancer, but really she wants to kick her best friend/enemy's ass who is opposite her on another network at that time, sponging off Oprah's career.
ReplyDeleteThe next time you lead off with something about the big o, it had better not be about daytime talk show hosts.
ReplyDeleteWill the rest of the GMA team welcome her with "LOOK WHO'S HEEEEREEEE"!!
ReplyDeleteBig fan of Robin Roberts. Harpo? Not so much.
