Falling Down

I fell down yesterday, but I got up.

I fell down hard yesterday; again, but I have to get up.

The strength to get up is innate and it protects me.

I pray it will see me through, for I have been walking on unsure footing for a while.

My trail has ended and I choose me.

I walk it alone and I will try not to stumble.

I have gotten up before and I will get up again. I have faith in me.

  1. I'd quote Chumbawamba, but I think you just need a ((HUG)) instead.

  2. Candy, my falls are seldom metaphoric falls and I go thru a buttload of bandaids.

You just need a bandaid... and by bandaid I mean a fake punch on the shoulder and an "attagirl"

  3. I have faith in you too. You really get to know someone through their writing. Maybe even better than when you get to know them through other means. And you never have to walk alone. Not really. Even your friends in this virtual world are real friends willing to stand (and walk) beside you. I know I am.

I could be way off track, but if you meant what I think you meant, then you won’t have to be alone in any sense of the word for long. You are a beautiful, funny, intelligent, motivated, warm-hearted, wonderful person. Tomorrow will be a brighter day….

  5. We need to fall down from time to to time so we can get up wiser and stronger.

  11. Seems to me, giving up is not in your nature. You go, Girl.

  12. You've fallen and you CAN get up. Eff that medic alert.

And now I've got Duran Duran's "Falling Down" in my head. Not too shabby.

  13. I'm going to guess we're not talking about skinned knees here. (Although if we are, might I suggest those Tinkerbell tattoo bandaids? They're mighty snazzy. Anywho....) I'm a hugger. Need a hug?

    ((((HUGS))))

I hope everything is better soon, Candy. Whatever it is.

And really, I feel an inspiring movie might be of assistance here. I suggest putting in the sound of music.

That movie always cheers my butt up, gives me all sorts of happy ;)

  15. There are limited options when you just lay where you fall. I doubt that you are one to limit their options to just one or two.
